I have seen the same here in canada, identical to that. I could only get that it was a jag cross from the owner, then pointed to a losellei as the other fish in the mix. They looked great to me but leaving country so couldnt buy one

so I bought the little mystery fish and am waiting to see if it grows into a monster and destroys everything or if its gonna play nice. so far its taking no guff from the four inch texas that is trying to bully it. kind of annoyed that the guy who sold me it is selling them as jags but whatever, I guess if it is half jag then he isnt totally wrong lol.

Your confusing yourself by the pattern. It's a mix, you can tell by the body shape.
