How common is it to catch a goldfish?

Caught this fish today and have no idea what it is...i've been fishing this area for 25 years and have never seen one...caught in southern wisconsin.View attachment 843686

Depends if you live near a breeding populations. But there are few populations that live in southern Wisconsin.

Not really...we were trying to catch a small Bullhead for the tank. All the ones we caught were to big though. It fought like a small panfish.
