Fish I have lost this year...

iv had a few losses this year:
2 6" parrots
2 8" fronts
1 18" CK
and currently in the throes of losing my talking catfish

Retic was fine..had them for a while...eat pellets, krill, smelt and shrimp.

My platinum senegal bit his tail out of nowhere one day and left an open wound. I setup another tank the next day, put the retic in and within an hour, started to have a deathcurl..

He was fine is he never got bitten..as healthy as it can be..
 
Now granted I have A LOT of fish...but the loss is still sucks.

I have propably killed more black aro in than most people ever own in their entire lifetime..

2008 so far has been a bad year for me too. i lost
1 jd about 8in
a leopard puffer
peacock eel
fw snowflake eel
silver aro around 8in
2 tinfoil barbs around 6in
1 silver dollar 5in
a 4in female con
a 3.5in lemon oscar
it really sucked but this is the first year ive ever really kept a lot of stock and half of them died from an amonia spike from a couple of feeders that died without me knowing that no one ate that i didn't catch in time
 
wow guy's,that's a huge loss.alot of fish ,sorry for your losses.
 
what % are these compared to what you have? Seem slike a huge huge huge list, but if you have a huge amount of fish, it could just be normal

I would suggest no more black aros for you though :D

I have lost...

2- ctenopoma... one got its eye eaten and got infected and died. The other just dropped dead soon after getting it (petsmart so not a surprise)

1- P. palmas... my stupidity...too small for the tank, was eaten in 12 hours :(

But then again, I only have one tank lol
