Fish ID!! Barred Midas?!

This is my 30g quarantine right now, i was at petsmart where i recently purchased 5 tinfoils and then i saw this guy in with the snooks, who were cowering with fright.

Well since i had the space i asked about him, all i got was that he came in with the midas batch.

What do you guys think? barred midas? or a hybrid?

Either way a fun fish, all he ever does is dig and fight his reflection.

Oh besides killing my green terror (i think it was a she and she was looking sick/getting picked on, i had no warning)

Nope all Barred Midas. Strange though it has 6 bars instead of 7? I don't even think Chancho, Saggitae, and Zaliosis have 6 bars they all have 7.

it has 7, well almost 7 more like 6 1/4, same as my Amarillo. the 2 right behind the gill plate form a Y where on one side it is distinguishable and the other side it is blurred together, with time it should grow out of it.

whew thanks guys! i was bummed about the GT but i knew this fish was something different, i was just thinking it might be a hybrid!

But like i said either way ill keep him for a while.
