I realize many people think they are rescuing a fish when they put it in a little larger tank, but to me taking (for eg) an oscar from a 30 gal and putting it in a 50 gal, is just prolonging the agony. Just be done with it, eat it, and put it out of its misery.

that couldnt be closer to the truth.

I think you guys have what I'm trying to do all wrong. I'm not putting it up on Craigslist because I don't want someone to do exactly as you're saying. I do have more knowledge than I feel you guys think I have. The local fish stores in calling have massive store tanks for display reasons as does the aquariums in calling. If they can't take these fish I will do what you guys are saying IE be done with them but I would rather them go and live there lives in large public display aquariums than just be done with them. So if one of you knows someone who's able to properly house these fish I'm all ears but please stop with the constant just kill them eamd eat them stuff.

If water was not looked after chances are they are not too healthy but might still grow. good luck finding a home for them

I'll be able to tell more once I actually get them, but I will at least try to find them a good life before I end them
