Fish Id of a Geophagus

Hey these were sold to me as red head tapajos. Im not good with identifying chiclids, can you guys confirm that these are indeed red head tapajos? Thanks!!

They don't look like it to me.I would say you have geophagus altifrons.
 
99% sure they are geophagus surinamensis. I have some right now...

That's highly unlikely,no fish have been imported from surinam for years.
Surinamensis tends to be used as a catch all name by shops selling what normally is geophagus altifrons.

Hmm, didn't know that about surinamensis. That is what they were sold to me as and the source being fairly reputable I assumed they were. You know what they say about assuming though. I'd guess altifrons then as they tend to be common, and of course highly resemble your fish.
