so many different ways people do things is so confusing to hew hobbyists. One of our old LFS's used to sell flowerhorns as trimacs if he thought trimacs were popular that particular week.
only adding to the trimac/ flowerhorn issue.

The Uropthalmus, Festae question comes up a couple of times a month and is confusing to newer hobbiest. The common names have sucked in quite a few who bought an Uro and later were pissed to find out it's not a Festae, because they "bought" a Red Terror. It's the tail spot you have to look at. The Uro's spot is centered on the lateral line the Festae's spot is about 3/4 above the lateral line. Also the first set of bars on a Festae will form a y or 4 type shape.

Simple as that. I dont only look for "Festae" or "Red Terror" as labeled on the tank. If you do, you will most likely be disappointed. (If Festae is what you're in fact looking for). Just follow the rules above and you're golden.
