Fish ID please

I'm not really too sure if its wild caught or not, but i will try and ask the lady who her supplier is if youre interested.

I am going to mix some black sand into my PFS so my fish's colors will stand out more, it should make him/her look even better! At the shop he was all lit up and showed lots of pearling and green/blue.

Satanoperca are very peaceful fish so give it a few days and it will color up when it gets used to it's new tank. I do not use dark sand for any of the species I keep, just taste is all. I am pretty stocked up on fish ATM but you should ask her so you know where it came from. With eartheaters, collection information is sometimes more important than visual traits. Most LFS will not give out their supplier but will happily tell you what thier invoice reads. Usually nbothing more than a country but it helps.

OMG, they made you PAY for that poor animal? Why is the place still open? It's starving! Looks to be pretty badly stunted, too, by the big head and tiny body. It is clearly a hardy specimen to have made it through the battle its body shows, so you shouldn't have much trouble turning it around. But that's the kind of fish my LFS gives away for free knowing it might not make the trip home. So good job rescuing it and best of luck bringing it back to full strength!
