i dunno about it being a hybrid. these 2 pics show same fish labeled as Petenia splendida.

A gorgeous normal colored P. splendida. Not very common *score!*. All I ever seem to find are the reds. Very nice!

I really doubt that its a hybrid, as it has 100% the body shape of a P. splendida. This is a color morph, its this, no bars or orange. Definitely not a hybrid though.

Here's a pic of one of these morphs, the bars arent as clear but they are there.
