locally caught in barbados, i still have more pictures to add in, just waiting for the fish to give me a decent pic.
first off is my buddy steve, caught him in a stream near my house while fishing for crayfish, he only eats meat, loves small crayfish, means a walk to the stream every couple of days to get some to keep him happy with, within 2 days of having him, he hand fed from me, shows no sign of fear of people at all. he is currently in one of my planted 20 gals, about 5 inches long, but my friend said he has caught them over a foot long in streams already, weighing about 3 lbs.
the other fish may be a jack dempsey, im not really too sure, but it wont stay still for me to get a good picture, i have a 10 gal cycling right now, will put it i n in a couple days so it doesnt have anywhere to hide, snap some pics, then pass it off to a friend. its got a striped pattern on it almost similar to a mozambique when its relaxed, but as soon as i turn on the cam it freaks out and goes pale. it was caught in a pond that also has tilapia (mozambique i think, they were introduced to our streams ages ago, im not exactly sure why, i know guppies/mosquito fish were introduced to help control mosquitos, not so sure about the larger fish) i will get clearer pics of it in a couple days.
