thats a good question, one which honestly would love the answer for.
i spend a lot of time in the streams, lets see if i can summarize what ive found so far.
mountain mullets, up to about 8 inches max.
these water cows
awaous banana (i love them, one does algae duty in my tank, and ive never seen such a busy little worker who takes so much time to make sure the plants stay clean)
mollies
guppies
mosquito fish
mozambiques
jack dempseys
texas cichlids (thanks !)
eels - never caught one for id purposes, only ever seen 3, but over a mile inshore, 100% freshwater.
possibly one or two other types of cichlids.
at least 8 species of freshwater shrimp and crayfish.
i think the crayfish, eels, gobys and mountain mullets are all thats remaining that are local. nobody has ever done a formal study on this.
