The tank it is in "IS" a quarantine tank. I don't recall saying otherwise. And it "IS" being medicated. I am not afraid of disease. I am very good with the introduction and medicating of fish. My license plate even reads "FSH DR". I am not a 12 year old with my first 10 gallon. I appreciate the concern. But I don't appreciate it when you assume I know nothing and try and poke at me with words.

You know, all this could have been avoided if you would have said that it was a quarantine tank in your first post or on your second post you could have elaborated more instead of just typing "nope". You don't recall saying it wasn't a quarantine tank, but I don't recall you saying that it was or the you were medicating the tank. All I did was try to give you some advice with the information that you gave. How did I know that it was a quarantine tank. Also, what did I post that was so offending. I didn't know how much or what you know so I was just telling you what the consensus on this board is. I didn't mean to offend, just to help. The Doctor

Thanks again for the ID 12volt.

Ive gotten what I needed out of this thread.
Mod's, feel free to close.

If your were a fish doctor you would not need someone to ID your fish for you.

The guy was asking you a question, btw I still remember when you told us your JK was an SRT.

Fish doctor? I think not, anybody can buy a custom tag for their car.

Thank you for the comment reverse. It's always a pleasure.

Sometimes clarification is needed for the benefit of others. Someone else who might be a 12 year-old with their first 10 gallon might be reading this thread and think it's OK to introduce wild-caught fish into their tank. Especially with the original statement "nope", which implies that you are not afraid of introducing wild-caught fish, not that the fish is in QT.

I know that the purpose of asking questions is to get answers for yourself, but this is a community, you are not having a private conversation. People of all levels of experience can be assumed to be reading any thread and possibly they are acting upon the information they find there. They don't always realize that not everyone here is an expert, or that not every question contains all the information. So, when you're asking the forum for the answer to a question, I don't think it's too much to ask that you to give something back by elaborating a little bit.

Here here, I consider it my pleasure, DR. Fish.

Also, Reverse

I'm sorry i can't positively identify every fish I come across in a lake.

You're right, I thought my JK was an SRT. Oops... It was sold to me as an SRT from Aquascape so that's what I thought it was. My bad. I'm a horrible person.

And your right. Anyone can by a custom tag for their car. Thanks for pointing that out. It's just a license plate dude. You can relax.

Why are you always so negative? I'm being serious. All it takes is to click on your name and go through your posts to see. Almost all of your posts are negative or sarcastic in some shape or form.

You have a good point. I never really thoguht of it that way. Thank you. I was just interested on finding out the breed of fish I had. Not to get into a long conversation about introducing fish, thats all.

I am sorry Shakulu.

No problem. Sometimes I just want to have a quick chat, too, but we have to look out for "the little people" (LOL) and give something back to the hobby. I don't think it's necessary either to give a thorough background of your tank set-up when you're asking for an ID, but it was a legit question that could help someone else learn.

In this case, it could have been answered with great economy, 6 letters instead of 4: "it is QT" instead of "nope". :D
