The one in the back is an adult male spilurum, the ones in the front are just adult pink convicts. I was thinking some sort of Vieja but wasnt sure

Even though fishes are yours and we don't have a good shot, the one in back still looks more like a Cutteri than Spilurum.

haha had too, nah it appears to be a cutteri to me. far from sajica in my book.

Yup...Cutteri...Looks more like a nano than a sajica...lol...I can see where someone would get confused though. But it is 100% cutteri...

Bought these guys as Rainbow Cichlids a couple of months ago. Ive had Rainbows before and these look different to me. Maybe a different strain or something. They are all about 2.5-3in right now and beginning to get yellow fins and some red around the head- plus they are pretty aggressive -sorry for poor quality pic

I would take a pic of ONE fish or point out specifically which one you want id'd by stating position in picture for fish you would like ID'd

He is a pic of some young Archocentrus (herotilapia) Multispinosa:

Suspected Orange.

If you are speaking of the 3 across the mid of the pic.. I would Agree with those that felt the same.. they are Either a Veija or Paratheraps sp.

you guys are right. They look almost identical, if it weren't for the way the colors are laid out I'd still be arguing lol.

I normally do not quote, and leave the pics (bad forum etiquette), but that was pure gold...:ROFL::ROFL:

I knew the three in the picture werent Rainbow cichlids thats why I set up the thread to get some ideas. Thanks for the help. I guess the the one in the back is a Cutteri. I never really dealt with the smaller cichlids and you like to believe what the lfs says when they swear its a spilurum. There arent to many good lfs in the Knoxville, Tn area with a knowledgeable staff. Thanks for the help everyone.
