The funny thing is that I never seen undyed white tetras.
Really? The store I work in always has them stocked along with the normal black ones.

My LFS always have dyed white tetras in stock all time and the undyed glass fish used to be common back in old days but now I never seen them for sale in my areas other than a painted glassfish. I would love own the regular glassfish again.

Glow Fish. They are a little more expensive, but keep their colors for life and are not dyed.

this is a fish i often forget. they arent dyed, their a genetically altered fish who have genes from jelly fish for the red color and coral for the green and orange if i remember correctly.

very beautiful, active fish, and you wouldent have to worry about supporting an inhumane practice :)

it really depends on the size of your tank, and what you want your tank to become.

you can go for a large community of different fish , a large school of same fish, a pair of larger fish, or just a single fish.

let us know the size and we can give you some specific ideas to get you going, and you can take it from there. once you know what fish you want, we can also guide you in setting your tank up and getting throuhg the cyling process, if you dont know about it already :)

uhm, community.... I don't think I'm ready :uhoh:

thanks everyone for the help!
