Friedrichsthal cichlid for sure! they do look like motaguense a little bit. But its definitely friedrichsthalii!

What was it supposedly sold as?

I bought two at the same time. There were two types of fish in the tank I got it from. The fred and another by an odd name I cant recall, so i'm not sure which is which.

This is the other one that I bought. He doesn't look so hot ever since he got attacked lol
