Looks like it had red eyes from the video, indicating albinism.
2 years ago I bought a bag of feeder ghost shrimp and in it was a small cichlid. While paying I told the store (a very reputable LFS) and they said "oh, you can just have him". An inch later and it was identifiable as a blue tilapia (illegal to own in FL). I suspect they knew and needed to get rid of it. I fed it to my oscar.
