  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You probably won't find any info but if it was me I'd care for it as a omnivore.
That’s how I’m going to treat it thank you and if you know anyone one MFK that’s like a piranha knowledge god please let them know about my fish so I can try to get more and more information and answers

Are pacu able to breed with piranha I don’t see why not only reason I don’t know if they can breed is because of size difference

Personally never read or heard of the two breeding with each other but wouldn't shock me if it happened.

They can’t breed. Usually genus has to match, and piranhas or pacus usually don’t breed outside species.
100% a red belly pacu. They may have human teeth, but even then there are razors at the end. If it doesn’t have the underbite, no way it’s a piranha. Pacus do need to eat both veggies and meat.

First I’d separate it from the rest if you haven’t already.

And in piranhas the root of the tail is black, in pacus the tip is black.. the jawline is the giveaway too.. baby redbellies the underbite is noticeable.. not an expert. Just my opinion. The pic above is my rbp when they were young. Hope I helped abit.
