Hey all,
Logged in after a long time. Anyway could anyone pls tell what type of fish these are? And also a few things I could feed them excluding pellets and their compatibility with other fish and plants?

It’s a black skirt tetra. Will take most flakes and tubifex. Peaceful and should leave plants alone.

Any standard dried or frozen foods will work, they would also eat small live foods.

Pretty standard community fish, do fine with most other non aggressive fish and won't eat plants

The reason they glow, is that a luminescent ocean creatures bio-phosphescent genes were transferred into their ancestors, and these were line bred to produce the glow.
Zebra danios were the first to be man-induced (created), next tetras, I hear angelfish and others are soon to be in the offing and available.
I attended talk by one of the people who pioneered the project using the zebra danios.

Will they eat my shrimp in the tank also then? I have ghost shrimp.
And will they eat small pieces of frozen fish meat or cabbage(boiled or raw)?

They may eat shrimp, and will probably eat the other two. Best is to try them with the shrimp, observe for a bit and see if they go after them
