Fish lifespans

I once had a goldfish I got for Christmas when I was five. I loved it so much and it lived for 7 years.

A little correction to this one as I remember this post when I read it.

This pair in the Amsterdam Aquarium were 34 & 35 years old when this was posted, if they are both still around they would be 36 & 37 today.

Funny, I ran into an old friend who got me into fish over 20yrs ago. We were talking about what we were keeping and he mentioned his Synodontis Angelicus must be going on at least 25yrs now. Its got a bit of cloudy eye form old age but he said it still seems to be going strong!
