I know with s. water most animals like sharks and rays need a soft surface,so i use sand the size of sugar so it wouldnt scratch or damage there under side. down south or south down cant remeber which. so with f.w. rays do i need real fine sand again or can i go with a i guess pea size or little bigger gravel without edges -so the ray and slide across it and not damage its underside and also hide under it?
