Fish Mansion in China

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm still waiting for the day to see the house be the tank, and the "tank" is just a little viewing area for the people to sit in. Like a basement converted to a giant tank with an acrylic sitting area in the middle that gives a 360 degree viewing.

I was wondering what happened to that one.. I was following that thread and it just tapered off and died at one point and then I lost track of it. It looks like its still never finished?

I was curious about some of the design of it... specifically shots from under the floor of it showed large 2 ft square unsupported expanses of plywood. I just couldn't see that holding up to 6+ feet of water for the long term.

edit- damn.. I see the guy died.. man, what a bummer to have been so close to finishing his dream tank.

The tank was finished. He had an iron problem from his well water. It took a long time to get the equipment to remove the iron. He had been waiting for the water to look better before he posted pictures. He did post in the thread that he was going to sell his house. The MFK thread was left open ended.

These pics are from his Facebook page

I just went to try to see pictures of this tank. I found post where he says he changes his water once a month 5 thousand gallons but I cannot find any pictures of this tank filled with water.

I'm not a reptile guy but that turtle tank looked fun. I have seen most of the other pics before. I dont know how I feel about the tank bed heard to many horror stories of tanks bursting to get a good nights sleep.

I didn't think of that... plus being half dead myself in age, I already get up too many times in the middle of the night as it is. I could only imagine what seeing and hearing water all night would add to that.

Yeah, regardless of the invalid nature of the story, still some really neat tanks.
