Fish Money?

So how many of you crazy hobbyist have unlimited funds for you preciouss?

To those that do have a limit, how do you set a budget for your fish ? do you have a set amount that you absolutely wont go over to get a fish , limit yourself to a specified amount to spend on fish , or just save up to get a fish you want?

In other words, how do you come up with the money to buy more fish and when do you say stop ??

To me, i make up a quota of how much i can spend and will absolutely not go over that amount on fish purchase. Supplies are not covered and there are some fish that are just exempt from all rules.

if i have the money i get it or if i want it i save up for it thats what i do its just the tanks that set me back oh ya before i buy i usally look for the best before i buy fish just incase

I am not as hardcore as some of the members – number of fish and tanks wise, so it is very easy for me. I just go to the fish store once a week and load up on some beefhear, bloodworms, and every two-three weeks fish food. Usually come out spending around $10!

Also every couple of months I get bored and have to do something a little bit special, last week I set up a 5 gallon planted tank and bought a Betta fish for my table. It seems like I have equipment and décor stacked up so its all no problem.

I wish I had my own place, I would go nuts putting tanks up left and right with rubber maid ponds in between.

ya but when u want big fish u need big tanks i dont sweat the small stuff just big

I only buy it if its a good deal....if its normal or overpriced...i'll pass.

yeahhhhh, tell me about it. I'm wicked cheap when it comes to everything. I like to be able to spread my money as far out as possible.
