My albino senegal bichir at work is named Edgar - I brought him in, and one co-worker said "he looks like a frankenstien fish", and my mp3 play list was jamming out Edgar Winter's Frankenstien, so it sorta became real appropriate really quick, and the name stuck.

I only name feeders. And their names are:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc...
:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL: You'll see that comment somewhere else soon.

I call my loaches loaches.
My sharks sharks and any other fish by thier scientific/common name. I dont care for names as the fish wont respond to voice. But I s'pose it makes sense to refer to 'Bob' as one of your Oscars if you had say 3 oscars. Rather then pointing and trying to find him.

My Butti's name is FUBAR. If you don't know what that means check out the movie Tango and Cash.

or Saving Private Ryan

I named my dojo loaches, but now I have too many fish to name them all. It is easier to refer to them by their individual qualities

One of my bettas has a name. My red devil gets called a lot of stuff I can't say on here.
The rest of my fish don't have names. I have at least 90, I stopped counting at that and I trade out fish periodically so it would be a bit useless to name them. There's some I'll never get rid of, but I doubt I'll name them either. Maybe my arowana.
