Fish Names

i call my redtail payara mr. tat.
and i call my tilapia big mama.
i once had a goldfish which survived for real long and called it plumpy.
the first time i said its name.
the aro ate it.

my FH is named "Fathead" for his kok that is starting to grow
my FM is named "Prof. Pugsley" because he looks like prof with his deformed mouth (bought that way)
my GT is named "G-man"
my big common pleco is named "Mister P"
my male con is named "Big Popi"
my female con doesnt have a name yet

I don't name them because sometimes I have to "whack" them. Best not to get too attached.

My last RTC who died was "Waldo" (ironically because we could never find him when he was little)
My fire eel is "Fuega" (fire in spanish, but female)
My pleco is "Hoover"

Thats about all I got. My g/f's brother has a betta named "Rufus the Pimp"

Red Hump Geo- Mr Hump (can you tell my wife named the first 2?)
Red Snook- A***ole.......but still my favorite fish!
Green Terror- Little A***ole (no explanation needed)
Blood Parrot- General Fishlips (he's the tank bouncer, breaks up fights)
4 Line Pim Cat- One-Eyed Willy (for obvious reasons)
Female Convict- Miss Thang (little miss attitude)
Ropefish- Tard (well deserved)

I have many others that have no names. Generally I just refer to them as their scientific names, but these few just acquired the ones given for various reasons.

oscar - "rex" ...cause hes a eating machine ..and begs for food constantly

oscar - "sunshine" ...cause she was fairly big when we got her and shes orange

pacu - "maximus" ... call'm max for short .. cause were sure hes bound to max out the tank in a hurry ..

gold fish - "lucky" ... because he lives with the (above)

pleco - "eureka" ... well ..for obvious reason

My 5 year old daughter named our betta Prince Charming. He is a lovely crowntail with a blue body and red fins.

I name my bettas (all 8 males/6 females) and some of the others. I intend to name everyone but haven't decided on names. Turbo (pleco) Nugget (pleco) Helen (molly) Pearl (guppy) Zorro and Copper (corys). I also have some that are named swear words when they are bad.

4 Line Pim Cat- One-Eyed Willy (for obvious reasons)

Funny because mine only has 1 eye also. My red terror ate it. So I named him Omar after that taliban guy that had the one eye and the eyepatch.

I named my breed pair of convicts Micky & Mallory Knox. From the movie Natural Born killers. Their fry has been named the Knox kids.
