Fish Names

My wife named my Jack Dempsey "Mr. Sparkles"

The only fish I have given a name to is my pet Buttikoferi, that I have had for about 6 years now.. His name is 'Bradley' after the lead singer of Sublime, Bradley Nowell.

Other than that, I just call every fish by their common name.

all my fish have names because my girl names them all i found out its easier to discuss fish with friends if they are named because most of my friends would be clueless if i started belting out scientific names but the list is huge heres a few
clown knife= krusty
20" silver aro= alfred
11" silver aro= norman
19" comon pleco= tiny
senegal bichir= betsy
biggest dempsey= jack
snowflake moray= Maurry
Chipokae = Tuffy
Pystagramy= gi joe
and the list goes on and on and on

I have a hard time rationalizing naming things that do not come or respond when you call them. Which makes me wonder why I named my dog because he never listens.

i never thouth of naming my fish, i think that would be silly, (unless you have one very important fish that you had for like 10 years.) i like my fish but there just fish.i just not that far gone to have names for my fish yet.

it isnt crazy its esier to talk about my fish alfred than saying you know my big silver arowana the 20" not the small one..... it just makes it easier to talk about them with friends
