Another option would be to wait until the weather gets to be about 50-60 degrees or so...but it sounded that you're pretty frustrated and want to get everything done and over with in which I completely understand.

I'm going to leave this to you, if you can feel comfortable in shipping the fish, then I'll trust your judgement as I am sure you are very caring with the being of the fish. If not, I'll understand completely.

Oh, and just for the record I was a lil off on my measurement....head to tail was a little over 19 inches.
