fish not eating

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It sounds like your fish may be ill, but why don't you post a photo of it and get a general consensus on what's wrong before you start medicating and possibly harming your fish? Generally, if it is ich, a little salt and elevated temp. is all you need to take care of it. It sounds like you're getting a little frenzied... don't worry, it happens to me too. We just need to look at the whole scope of the problem, instead of in little pieces of information, and then pick what to do next.

Not a good idea to use coppersafe on the loach, as they are scaless, and it will hurt them. If possible get a pic of the loach with the white spots, so we can determine what it has before medicating. In most cases raising the temp, and adding some salt is the best treatment.

well I tried again ,the BGK is now back in handfeeding mode and my convict is rapidly scavenging. everythings good, I just cleared and swooped some leftovers up and added some nutrafin cycle benificial bacteria to reduce ammonia - 0 and nitrite- 0

If the nitrite and ammonia are 0, the is no need to add nutrafin. What are your nitrates? Does your cl still have white dots? We need to find out what they had/have in order to make sure all your fish don't get sick and die. A picture of the cl would really help. Don't think that because they are eating, and appear fine, that everything is ok. Most diseases, if not treated correctly will return.
