Fish nutrition should be a separate forum!

If it was a desease only forum I'd agree with you but it's also labled health. What your feeding your fish and how often... can have very long term effects on the health and desease resistance of your fish. An ounce of prervention and all that...

A better location for information like this is in the specific species subforums.

I'm going to say no on this one. Each fish we keep has different needs, and different foods. I would rather see members take the time to write up good, well researched, article about feeding specific types of fish (ex. plecos, rays, arowana, datnoids). If the article is unbiased, and well done, it should then be stickied and will be more direct for the specific fish.

i also think that many times fish nutrition can be very redundant for the majority of fish, how many times have we seen, "I varied diet is best."

As a subforum no each species can have different nutritional requirements
as a general guide with the basics as a sticky would be good tho possibly maybe even

Hi guys (it's an endearing term),

I'm glad everyone is in aggreement that nutrition is important.

I understand rallysman and I agree anymore forums and we're going to need a main directory and a sub-directory just to fine the forums , and I agree with Wyldfya, it belongs in the specific species sub-forums...problem I see is getting people to search and read. Maybe a larger main diectory is in order?

And if nothing were to change ever again with this board it would still be the BEST thing going.

Is this a dead issue???

First I was for the seperate forum then I was in agreement that maybe it would all become very confusing. In the past few weeks though I have seen more and more and more instances where a nutrition forum would be great.

I have a list if anyone is interested. I really felt like I had to rehash this one.

Yeah, I think it's a dead issue. We decided on a moratorium for new forums and subforums for now.
