I'm with peanut on the sao paulo oscars.

We can get wild Oscars, but only big ones right now. I don't even know what species, and the price tag would be around $200.. So I would say they are OUT unless someone wants to pay that just to ID them ;)

I will get them next time the juvies are available.

caquetaia myersi? keeping my fingers crossed

I believe these guys are from Columbia.. I would talk to Jeff Rapps about special ordering some in for you. He is Tangled Up in Cichlids, another community seller here.

royal pleco
how much does a box of neon tetras hold, because i would love to have a bunch of them. Sure my spectabile love those.

Only getting 1 royal pleco to test the waters, so we will see who wants it when it arrives :) It is suppose to be a rare variant, Waldo has more details.

A box of neon tetras is 1000.. If you want to order an entire box we can talk.. They are usually pretty small, and expect some losses.. Give them lots of water changes and good food, and they grow really quick.

I would reccomend going for a box of 300 of the 'broad bodied' tetras instead, such as 300 bleeding hearts or blue-line tetras. I have a friend right now locally who has a 240g tank with 150 bleeding hearts, and 3 stingrays in it.. The schooling effect is really nice ;) Just gave me an idea for the 'super-schooling monster tank'.. Put in 1000 Neon Tetras, 300 Pygmy Corydoras, and 100 Ottos.. Wowie that would be cool!

Lince cats are always big, and why buy a smaller one.. It will just grow big anyways? This would only mean 1) You can't house is it properly right now and 2) You probably can't house it properly in the future.. So buy a big tank, and get a big Lince ~ Problem Solved!

Calm down bro! I was just messin wit yaz.....sorta. I CAN house one right now...but $500 a pop is just too much...otherwise I WOULD have one right now! ;) Thus, smaller = cheaper! Plus unlike a lotta peeps on here...I enjoy growing my fish out....;)

Heh I was just givin ya a hard time ;)

The reason they are $500 is because they take a HUGE Box and ALOT of water weight.. A single box holding a Lince alone is probably $250 to ship up from S. America!! Well Crap, I guess we will find out won't we!

See...if you got the smaller ones you could save on shippin! LoL!! They are my fav. large cat.....if ONLY they weren't sooo expensive!! Thats what MFK should raffle off...TWO Lince cats! I would pay for that raffle! LOL

Based on the list in the other thread, I'd be interested in (copied and pasted from the actual list):

Corydora Black Peru Semiaquidus sp.
Corydora Black Green Semiaquidus sp.

Loricaria camaleon Pseudohemiodon apithanos
Loricaria lanceolata red Loricaria lanceolata spp.
Loricaria Tiger from nanay Rinoloricaria sp.
Loricaria tiger Pseudohemiodon sp
Sturiosoma Sturiosoma panamense
Plecostomo papa L090 Panaque sp.
Pleco ojo chico L090-a Panaque sp.
Pleco Royal - L190 Gold Trim Panaque nigrolineatus
Pleco PAPAMAMA NEW!! Panaque sp.

I won't ask to have these specially ordered for me, because I can't commit to buying without knowing a price before hand.

Also, I'd be interested in LDA65 (Titanic Panaque) if you can get them.... but not the collosal sizes.

Thanks,
Steve

I will let everyone know what Rare Knifefish we get in, as they are in high demand!! Unfortunetly none were 'available' this time of year, but I requested them anyways!!

We had 4 of these last import that were randomly tossed into a bag full of plecos, and they were really awesome. On the next order we will be getting more variety and alot more 'retail friendly' fish, so I will add these to the list of Corys! I am assuming you will want a small school? You will get price breaks with the more you purchase, so I will work on those L#'s for you too..

Loricaria camaleon Pseudohemiodon apithanos
Loricaria lanceolata red Loricaria lanceolata spp.
Loricaria Tiger from nanay Rinoloricaria sp.
Loricaria tiger Pseudohemiodon sp
Sturiosoma Sturiosoma panamense

We have the Lanceolata Red on order, we are going to see how well the Loricaridaes import into our new system. Last time we attempted to bring in an elongated pleco, I believe our facliity was not sophisticated enough to handle the water paramater requirements that this sensative species requires.. So if these do well, expect lots more Loricaridaes in the future, as I NEVER see ANY for sale!

Plecostomo papa L090 Panaque sp.
Pleco ojo chico L090-a Panaque sp.
Pleco Royal - L190 Gold Trim Panaque nigrolineatus
Pleco PAPAMAMA NEW!! Panaque sp.
We have broughit in the L090's before, and they are an AWESOME panaque pleco. Unfortunetly at this time we can only collect medium sized ones (4-6"), so we can only ship 6-10 per box.. What does this mean to you? It raises the price ALOT! If you are willing to pay $60-80 for these little buggers, then I can get them to you no problem.

We are bringing in one of the L190 Gold Trim Royal Plecos, just to take pictures and identify it thoroughly. We will see how bad the 'want' is for them, and likely bring in more on future orders. We are bringing in the smallest size available, but we can get HUGE ones if the price is right.

I have no idea what PAPAMAMA is, so I will ask Miguel and try to get pics.. If its awesome and new, then I was going to get it anyways just to find out :) Also, if I can get smaller titanic plecos I will, as they rock. I am unsure where they are collected from however, so I will have to look into it.

I won't ask to have these specially ordered for me, because I can't commit to buying without knowing a price before hand.

That is ok. We don't like people to commit to fish either, until after the QT process. The only exception is if someone REALLY wants the fish and they would like to put money down, but we won't even do that until it has been imported first.

Hope that Helps! Keep the requests coming!

It HELPS US, HELP YOU, when we know what YOU WANT!! :headbang2

Asia retails them for the price of a small car! Hence.... where did those rare fish go? Wherever the market takes them. We are lucky enough that I own PAEX and can demand I get my pleco's :naughty: varients of the royals grow big. 16-24" that I'm aware of depending on the varient.

Miles,

I appreciate such a comprehensive reply. I've been going over a few things, and I'm going to have to pass on the Corys. While I'd love to get groups of each, my tanks just aren't setup to accomodate the Corys with regards to water temperature. Since I'm not sure I'll be able to get anything setup in time, I've decided not to chance it. They are, however, stunning fish as you said.

I have no problem paying the $60-80 price; I've spent more before. But, there's no way I'd be able to buy a box of them at this point in time. If there's enough demand otherwise, I'd pick up a couple pieces if they looked good pattern wise.

The Gold Trim Royal definitely sounds interesting, but price will be the determining factor for me. But, given that you're looking to bring in small fish, I doubt price will be that big of a deal. Out of curiosity, any idea what a 4-6" Gold Trim would run in relation to the $60-80 range for the L90s?

I'm not sure what river system the Titanic Panaques come out of, but I do know they're Peruvian.

Thanks again,
Steve
