Fish Pimples!!!! YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!

OK guys I'm not making this up. One of my flowerhorns got a giantic lump on it's cheek and I figured it was swollen or something. I medicated with Melafix for a couple of days but theis thing was seriously growing and growing it was literally like a freakin' KOK gowing on my FH's cheek. Then yesterday I saw the yellow dot in the middle. the same yellow dot u see when u have a zit that's ready to pop. so I was like What the heck. I tried to see if it was a really a bump or a zit. Sure enough it was a zit. The FH is about 10" and the zit was 2" on it's cheek sticking about 1.5" outwards. I Popped that sucker and OMFG it was the nastiest ever! You can see all the yellowish and white puss floating around the tank! Oh man it was nasty! **** I've never seen a human pimple even give off that much puss. BLECH!

Just thought I'd share my expereince anyone else ever see something like this on their fish before?

Poor fish will never get a date unless it starts using stridex pads
 
Seriously though, this sounds like furunculosis, watch for reinfection and be prepared to dose with wide spectrum antibiotics or Furazolidone.

I have seen some of the worst cuticles on this site. People should heed to this good advice, spoken by a true pro.....
