Fish ponds?

I've been browsing around the forums lately and have noticed people occationally mention their fish "ponds". Now, I know this is MFK but seriously, you all have ponds? Forgive my noob-ness but how exactly do you all take care of these? And can anyone share some pics? I'd love to see fish in a really "natural" but personally controlled pond.

My pond probably cost me less than $300, but I did have some cinder blocks laying around.

Often it costs less to build a large tank than to purchase a tank of the equal size.

Yup, just took over a cheap $10 pool my kids used last year...

Of course, I keep threatening the wife that if she lets our 25' above ground pool go green during "season" again, then I'll turn it into a fish pond...

Also planning on building a box-pond with cinderblocks later this year...

Great part is that I've got a system for putting a USB web cam under water so I can see the fishies

I'd take an indoor pond/pool anyday over a fish tank when it comes to price, being somewhat broke myself.
