my fish live in a 29 gal and i dont feel like cleaning my tank ever time they go poo is there anything i can put in my tank with my kribs that can help such as fish, water drops ,and tablets etc.

Try to go bare bottom with no substrate.

Gravel vacuuming and water changes are half the fun...My wife told me this weekend that my gravel looks better than the carpet in our house.....

what is gravel vacuuming?

when you syphon water in a water change, you use the bottom, hopefully larger end on the syphon (python in my case) to sift through and syphon out crap and old food and whatever else looks nasty coming up during the water change. I do it once a week and still get **** in the vacuum......

Forsaken, you might try buying a beginners aquarist book. From the looks of it you're missing a lot of the baisc info that makes fish keeping easy, fun and viable. If you don't learn the basics your fish will soon die, and you'll be wondering why.

its time to put buying fish and tanks on hold.I would do alot more research and more time on monsterfish.you really want to nail down the basic aquarium setup such as bio, cycling, water changes...

My tanks are bare bottom and it's MUCH easier to completely remove the feces...BUT, the feces is also much more noticeable. You don't have to remove solid waste every time a fish defecates (although, I suppose, this would be best for the water chemistry) but you shouldn't let it sit there for more than, say 2-3 days. Some people go bare bottom and then use a light spray of sand or gravel on the bottom, coupled with a few large rocks or pieces of wood to create a semi-natural effect. Unfortunately, there are no "high-tech" solutions to fecal contamination. It must be removed manually with a siphon.

Actually some decaying feces or other rotting stuff is required to feed the beneficial bacteria in the filter however if you ensured 0% waste in the tank you wouldn't need beneficial bacteria I suppose? Not as much anyways . You dont need to remove fish feces every 2 - 3 days either unless youre keeping really sensitive fish in a small environment. One 25% change per week is enough for most setups.
