Flounders are pounce predators and may do some serious damage to tankmates and inverts. There are some tropical sole species that stay fairly small that you can try with tankmates too large for them to threaten.

The west coast has the starry flounder that can do well in brackish conditions and doesn't grow to the size of an atlantic flounder.

That thing's a trip! Looks like one of those blue ring octo's, I'd be a nervous until I figured him out. - N
 
i had one in my predator tank. until he got stuck on a power head. the hardest part is getting them to eat frozen. i had just got mine to eat krill before he got sucked up. i have 4" sand beds on all my tanks.
