Fish room/Business progression thread

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Okay, I am 14 years old too. I have a 265g and an 100g. I also have a fish room with too floors. One thing I know is that fish room's should be mainly about yourself, the selling part comes afterwards and is only useful to keep it going.
Here it is.
On the first floor I am having:
6, 200g tanks (already have shelves) with a sump for each two. For my monsters to rest pairs and have fun with the hobby.
1 rack with 6, 20 g tanks for grow-out fry.
20 g tank for shrimp (CR's)
4, 10 g tank for Apistogramma
Bottom floor:
3, 300g ponds for rare cichlid to reproduce. (I can give you the list of stock if you want to)
Artemia reproduction

As you can see a fish room for me, I will sell fry too and for a good price because they are rare cichlids, but the fish room will be based on me and for what I want. My project only started too but I have not just researched the fish, I have planned everything! Heating, insulation, filtering, lights, food, WC's etc.. I will be looking forward to see what you can do, but I am not sure about being successful selling guppies and shrimp.
Have fun on that side of the continent :D

Wow some great info here. I'm glad to see 14 year olds wanting to do something like a business and actually doing it. Number 1 rule in any business is do what you love. I'd love to see some pics of your new fish room/business. If you lived closer to me I'd give you a tank or two to help out a young entrepreneur. Sounds like you are doing ok and on your way already though. Keep up the drive and good luck!

DAMN how do you pay for that , im only 15 and all i got is a 180 g , 72g, and 30 g that i bought when i was 14 ,

and to be honest people are right when they say you cant make money off fish because i tried breeding fish for money and its slow and there is no profit when you think about the foods you buy and water conditioners and filters, i breed for fun now and i sell fry and make enough money here and then to pay for fish food and stuff like that, but good luck with your guppy breeding
