Funny thing is, the 42 gallon (four foot but is shorter than a 55) was bought to go below the 55 gallon, It is an oceanic and the base of it makes it like 49.5" Long....barely to big, it wont fit, so I had to build that stand out of scrap wood that I had. The 46 stand will hold two 46 bow fronts, I plan to keep that and add another one.

They leave little room to clean or catch fish and worse closeier to floor harder to drain. Check out my DIY thread for some idea of ones made with wood look like...
