Yes I plan on a step ladder

I'm no expert by any means in building stands but half an inch isn't even possible. Unless you mean the wood will be half an inch from the cieling. You can't have a tank be half an inch from the ceiling.

I was meaning the wood would b 1/2" from the ceiling but i changed the design so its not like that anymore.

Also, the stand will get fastened to the wall so it won't tip.

I can't wait either. This thing better work. I used the same joints you did for you 90 gallons so it should work. It's going to be awesome when its done.

tube steel stands like this are common in my area, so I just bought one, and bought a 50g breeder tank to go with it
