Fish safe lubrication?

what lubrication can i use on my eheim 2028 primer that is safe for fish? Where can i buy it from?
I used WD-40 not thinking:wall:, so i have to clean it out but I need to know of a fish safe lubricants
 
There is none.

All oils/lubes/greases are made from petroleum's which are harmfull to aquatic life over time.

What are you trying to accomplish with the lube?
 
the primer on my eheim locks up/sticks, which makes it really hard to push and sometimes doesn't go all the way back to where is suppose to sit. I knew that WD-40 or something similar wouldn't be safe, but with out think grabbed it.

Not true! There are silicone based lubes that are food and fish safe!

Not true. Food grade silicone grease and spray lube are safe for fish and necessary for the ehiem pumps. Dont forget to lube the o-ring/gasket as well.
