unfortunately I can't do anything now but i had a powder blue dwarf gourami and i've had it for a little over a year now. i noticed yesterday that it was acting funny. He wasn't active and barely had enough energy to get up and eat. Well a few minutes ago i looked in my tank and he was belly up:cry:  ! After I got out the net i started looking at the fish and the belly was all white and his scales started to peel off. I've never heard of a disease that did that. so, i was wondering if anyone had information for future reference.

I didn' do anything but fall over into it's side.

it would lay on the bottom of the tank and gasp for air and slowly fell over onto it's side. Every once in a while he would get up and move to the other side of the tank until eventually he didn't move at all and then he died. When i went to pull him out of the tank the scales were peeling off.

Sounds like a nice case of fungus. Check your other fish to make sure they don't have signs of it either.

All the other fish are fine. It was just that one. I have a serpae tetra, a bloodfin tetra, about five guppys and another fish that i'm not quite sure of what it is. It kind of looks like a rainbow trout but it's more pinkish and it's only about two inches long. But they all seem to be unaffected.

You may think it's gross, but you still have the fish?? Could you take a picture?

I was going to take a picture but i can't find the info online so my camera and my computer will talk. So right now no i can't. I know pics are a great help.
