Fish Schooling

Not a critical life threatening observation, but:

I was surprised that fish of the same family, but a different species tend to school together.

Congo Tetra's and Diamond Tetra's seem to do fine, Parkisani and Bosemi Rainbows, even two different types of Pike Cichlid's I have seem to enjoy each others company, and I thought they were solitary.
 
Technically "shoaling", but yes, similarly shaped and colored fish will usually group together.
 
Sometimes the curious that are totally opposite in looks will follow along too.

My MBU puffer cruises along with my Tropheus from time to time but I think he forgets who he is sometimes.
