Please also note that it helps to have an intimate knowledge of fish anatomy before you start slicing into them to remove fleshy portions.

I have some knowledge of cat anatomy from my anatomy class last year. Don't cats have mostly the same organs as fish anyways?

Maybe I should research a little fish anatomy as well.

Internal organs maybe, but as far as skeletal anatomy lol. Reattaching the bones by way of glue, and wire if it's a large skeleton. Having a hair dryer handy for getting the bones to stay in the position you want them to. I always try to research natural positioning of the bones so that it's more lifelike in the mount. here's a few pics of some more I've done. :nilly: There's so many small bones to keep track of it's best to keep track of them and keep them in some kind of order until you reassemble them.

That is really cool, today at my LFS I saw a dying double trunk elephant nose. I brought it to the attention of some of the employees that I know and jokingly asked if there was a discount for dead fish lol. They gave me the elephant nose, but by the time I got home it was dead in the bag. It was pretty bad in the store when I saw it. It seems like it may be too small to work with, but it doesn't hurt to try!
