Brooklyn, NY
I checked the sticky but there wasn't anything for new york city :(
I don't need any monster fish, just some regular ones that are cheap :D

theres a place on woodside ave in elmhurst.......DO NOT GO THERE. you will just be wasting your time

if you ever come to queens/nassau, theres a decent shop on the border called "pets of new hyde park" dry goods are expensive as hell, but their fish are reasonable, and they get some decent quality stock and the occasional oddball and hard to find fish.

Pets of New Hyde Park's dry products are VERY expensive

they have a great selection of fish and they do know their fish...sometimes....the prices are decent not too far away from me and I live in the Bronx

in the Midwood section of Brooklyn there is a giant PetCo
if u live near bensinhurt in brooklyn there are many petlands

lol I was just there today matter of fact ... woodside av and 75 st? They have some rays for 40 bucks flat. They told me that I could keep them in a 20g tank because they were teacups and that teacups don't get big. Research on this website tells me that 20g is not big enough for a ray and isn't teacup just a reference of their size at an adolescent age? They also had roaches everywhere!

Another place to be weary of is a place in lic/astoria area called bamboo something on broadway and 45st. they tried to sell me a 90g with cover/light and giant wooden stand for 320. it was covered in bird poop and it had tape all around the bottom frame of the tank.

The only good place I have been to is on Northern Blvd and Francis Lewis Blvd. I cant think of the name but it is very big and nice and they know they're stuff. They also have parking and I have even negotiated prices with them. Look for a dude named george, he seems to be the go to guy so far.
