School of Aurilus barbs or Mascara barbs. Definately will not hide and get some nice colors as adults. Throw 3-5 cories to clean the bottom.

If you go puffer you'll have to do a brackish setup which could limit you a bit. I always liked puffers but they either are to aggressive or not able to hold there own in community. I have berdmorei botias in my 210 and they are cool fish. They look cool and make clicking noises when they squabble.

I've had discus before. Very pretty they were hiders. Not very interactive. I'd suggest a green severum, or of you dig in your pockets a little more, go with a red gold severum. They are very active, not shy at all, and get along with most other fish.

If you go with the cichlids, count on having nothing but them in the tank as they are aggressive and will kill any other species in the tank from my experience.

I finally settled on a small 2" peacock bass and a green severum. Eventually had to get a bigger tank cause my pbass was growing rather quickly and is now 10" long. I've got a 75gal now and have added a Redtail/shovel nose hybrid (13") and just added a florida gar (12") to the tank this past weekend (result of a daddy/daughter trip to our LFT). Momma learned her lesson but loves the fish.

All in all of the suggestion from the thread, I would suggest a flower horn, cichlids if you handle just one type of fish, a severum or 2, a peacock bass (will need to set up a smaller 10 gal for feeders till you get him weaned to frozen or dried foods. So far I think your best bet is a pair of severum and maybe a jurupari which are friendly and pretty fish.

Best advice is to explore the pictures of the different fish people post on here till you find some that catch your attention and go from there. Below are pictures of some of my fish. Happy hunting!

Don't know where you live Ptrick, but there's a great LFS in Richmond, VA I've been going to since I was a child and have always treated me right and are helpful picking out fish if you can't make up your mind. The store is Azalea Aquariums and tell him Pete Congdon sent you if this store is in your distance.

People like to look at a good set of angels. They don't hide, they're beautiful, and you could add 4 or 5 of all different breeds and it would look awesome.
