Fish system almost complete

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You're right - they are built to be outside, but not in a humid garage. Overall humidity is a given, I'm talking about the greatly increased amount of humidity caused by fish tanks. It can't be good for metal, or wiring, or cloth/upholstery, etc. Outside, the cars can dry out, as the weather changes. Being bathed in humidity all the time... I can only imagine is harmful for cars. No ?

Unless he isn't driving the car at all I don't see it being an issue, storing a car that's currently not on the road in there w/ the windows open wouldn't be too bright but if he is using the car I don't sthink it'll hurt. Most cars are out of the garage the majority of the time anyway, plus garages tend to be more aerated then houses, drafts from the gragae door and the windows would also help.

And yeah they usually have vents too, mine does. For when you drive a wet car in ya know

I'll keep an eye but I don't see how it will be an issue. Tennessee in the summer usually is 80-90% humidity which the garage should never be. If it becomes an issue I'll have an air exchanger installed which will control it no problem. It's definitely worth keeping an eye on though.

Daaaaamn JD, that's awesome. Can't wait to see them filled up.

What's are you going to breed?

Not really sure yet. I'm hoping to be able to hold a lot of space open for the ACA convention. When is the Atlanta spring auction? I've been so focused on getting it running I haven't really worried about what I'm keeping yet.

I may come down for it depending on my schedule. I'm not going to try to get to focused on one type of fish this time. Going to work with several types of cichlids and some plecos.
