FISH TANK KINGS OR TANKED?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I blame every single employee standing there taking pics for the loss of that shark.

I agree in part on the statement as fact;
and in full on the sentiment.

However I think it would be unreasonable to expect every employee at a dental office to know how to care for an advanced aquarium. That being said there is no excuse for not having Someone on staff or on station who knows what they're doing.

You can't treat a tank full of live animals who require very specific care like a piece of furniture

^ thats a good point, on the shows they never mention the dietary needs of any of these fish, so i wonder if they at least teach the new owners the feeding schedules and habits of these fish and the required amounts

Care is turned over to the owners. They are responsible for all care and are provided information as much as they want. In today's day and age, there is NO excuse for not having any information you need. Look at all the smart phones in that video. Anyone one of them can pull up Google and figure out how to take care of a fish tank.
Just like getting a car... you can't blame the dealer if you don't take care of it and it breaks.

They both are full of scripted drama. Not that way i want to watch a show about tanks. But they are the only shows about fish tanks so i watch them both.

But......FTK is better. I mean they actually showed them getting in a mini sub and collecting species for an exhibit. It seems like they focus more on talking about the species of fish they are putting in.

As a side note..... Tanked did a tank for the magic castle in LA. My wife got to go about a week after the episode aired (probably a few months after they actually filmed the episode). They stocked it with a bunch of GTF and a blue eyed pleco. She said she didn't see any of those fish in the tank. So i agree that the owners of the tanks do not know how to care for their expensive fish.

Thanks for the video update on the orthodontist tank. ATM must have people on this site. After the original thread started about how badly they introduced the fish into that tank, they started explaining on camera their instant cycle product.

So my guess is that they see our comments.

I'd love to see a Modern Marvels on fish keeping. Show the history, a few extreme home tanks, public aquariums, the technology and filtration, and future of keeping.

This is an open forum for the public. I know a lot of people who read about themselves on here. ATM has even commented about them reading the various forums.

I havent seen Fish Tank kings, only Tanked so far. I like it mainly because I enjoy seeing them build and install big fish tanks. Sure I could definitely do without a lot of the themed crap they put in the tanks like fake coral insert and other ugly props but they still do build some really nice tanks. I really liked the massive koi pond they built for some NFL dude, and the big shark tank they put in a dentist office. I most likely wont ever have something like that so I like watching them install it for someone else.
