  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just bought a 125 glass tank/stand and it was heavy, but I got it for a steal at only $70.15 out the door for both the tank and stand.

WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
are you serious?

Yes I am I live in California and used to work at a Petco here in my town where I bought it. Anyways I dont work there anymore, but I am good friends with everyone there. The tank and stand have been there for three years and was the only one they have ever ordered and no one ever had wanted to buy it. So me and my girlfriend walked in there after lunch last week and saw that the stand that was $319.99 was on clearance for $30.00, and thought it was $30.00 off the original price for the stand. Wrong it was only $30.00 dollars for the stand. The tank however was still priced at $419.99 so I went to my friend that is the Aquatics supervisor and my girlfriend asked her to see if the tank was going to go on sale at all. Needless to say she came back and asked us to guess how much the tank was for. I said $150.00 and my girlfriend said $250.00. She said we were both wrong and the tank was for only $40.00. After that we jumped right on the tank/stand and claimed our prize. Which was $70.15 out the door after tax. All my old associates were so jealous they said yesterday they checked and it wasn't on sale and if they had known they would have bought it that day.

sales tax in cali would be roughly $5.50 on $70, not 15 cents.

Druu, tank weight will depend on age and glass thickness obviously. My 300 is older and it takes 4 of us at least (1/2" glass i believe). but just helped and buddy move a much newer 210 and me and him had no problems what so ever. I'm 6' 155lbs roughly and he is probably the same but shorter. So just depepnds...

Allright.....:headbang2

Yeah a 125 empty is def close to the 200 range if not a lil more. Suprised me when moving mine just how heavy it was. But me and a strong friend do fine moving it, but a third for door duty is always nice. Where are you getting a 125 setup for $150 btw?
