You can choose whatever you want I went with external overflow with 3 1.5 inch bulkheads in each box. Also had 3 1.5 inch bulkheads in back of the tank for returns.
Im going to have to keep it internal as it will be flush against the wall. Are those drains full siphon or gravity fed ?

Two are full siphon. Two take a small trickle of water and the last two are emergency. The two under full siphon are not restricted by valves the system runs 3000 gph (measured) and the two pipes barley Handle it.

That interesting. So if you had to do it again would you go larger than 1.5 siphons ?
3k per siphon or total ?

Im running siphons and running over 3k (not measured) and have no issues.

It’s 3k total gravity head is about 2ft. The reality is you have no idea how much flow you have unless you measure it or use The energy equation and factor in minor losses. Yes I would have went with 2 2inch and kept the rest at 1.5.

Doviiman had FTD build him an 800 gallon tank. He was happy with it.

They built my 15' x 4' x 4' tank. I'm happy with the tank. Unfortunately I had an unscrupulous salesman who worked remotely..he had just left Tenecor which went out of business. The salesman is long gone, The owner of FTD and the tank builder are really nice fellows. If I needed a new tank, I wouldn't hesitate to have FTD build me another tank. FTD built the tank exactly as I asked them to, adding eleven holes on the top of the tank to accommodate my mechanical filtration. I changed the diameter of the holes after I placed my order. It wasn't a problem for them. FTD can build a tank to your specifications.

Agreed. Im round abouting it based off of the setting im using on the pump and the fact that the gate valve is hardly opened. Though its 2 1.5 inch lines tee'd to one 2 inch gate

Single gates per siphon ?

Rough sledding..can't work on my tank..have only use of my uncoordinated left hand right now...can't do the simplest things like cook, clean, dress myself. Don't get old and fall like I did.

Yes. you may have trouble adjusting the siphons using one valve for both

No issues for me. Been a few yrs now.
