In a dream
Thinking about making the drive down to California next week and i want to look at some tanks in the 220-270 range. I am probably gonna purchase one probably next month since Vegas doesnt have anything available so i want to go window tank shopping in Cali. Problem is I have only been to California once and I no idea where to look for tanks. :nilly: I am interested in going somewhere where i can physically see the tanks and kinda get an idea of the dimensions and the prices. Any stores you guys recommend? Any info or advice is apprecaited.

I know this isn't really answering your question for a good store. But being in Louisiana I really can't help there. I will say try searching craigslist in socal area if you are willing to buy used. Socal has all the best deals, $1 per gallon for 500 gallon tanks etc. People here seem to think their 55 gallons are worth $500 Haha, so if I was going to socal I would make use of the killer deals. Just my 2cents.

And if you don't want to buy used, u still got a free bump for reading this lol.

Yeah, craigslist........If you come down to San Francsico, there is a store here that sells 165g tank for under $300........With the fuel and travel costs you will be spending to get here, you will be maxxing out on something you can be spending on a big used tank with a filtration system.........

Good luck on your quest

i'm just about 3 hours from vegas.. maybe a little more if you obey the speed limits ;).

There is an LFS in Redlands, less than 30 minutes from me and technically closer to LV as the crow flies by about 8 miles. they have two rooms, one with fish, fish and other pet supplies and a HUGE aquarium room. they routinely have 240 and 300 gallon tanks in there for sale.

just come on down the 15, go east on the 10 and get off on Waterman. Turn left off of the offramp, then turn left on Waterman, go under the freeway, turn right on the first street it's called Hospitality Lane. you'll pass a lot of stores and a freeway onramp going the other way, then you'll come to a street called Harriman, turn right, go about a block and turn right into the driveway and Pet World will be right in front of you. Between a mexican electronics store and Sports Authority.
