go to any shop and they can custom build ur tank how u want it thats how i got my big tank

They can do that here in vegas too. The point of me going to Cali is to shop around and compare sizes, dimensions and prices. I considered getting a 300 gallon till i seen one in person and realized how huge it is. Im glad i was able to look at it first. So im not going to customize anything till i can an idea of how it looks.

Ocean Blue in City of Orange usually has good display tanks. Most of the freshwater places don't have display bigger than 180. All the stores that have 200+ display tanks are salt water stores.

Awesome....appreciate it. Also it would be my girlfriend and my daughter driving down there. Is there any other cool places to see or fun places to go around that area?. Thinking about spending 2-3 days down there. Dont really want to go to disneyland...lol.

That's a very wise decision you're making , by wanting to see the goods face to face...

Once I seen the size I wanted, in person, I got to see what 6" of width did for the space in the tank. Going from 24" to 30" from front panel to back panel, made all the difference in the world, and that was on a 72" length.
Then it was all about who would CNC the CellCast acrylic and do the actual building of the tank...And as a bonus, you can spec anything else you want for the inside of the tank, inlets/outlets/overflows etc. if you shop around you can have one built out here, for the price of a ready built glass, and the weight is no contest...

All you have to do when you get to Cali, is hit up those So-Cal shops and have a look...
and I'm sure you'll find something to do other than Disneyland, it California man, we got everything you can imagine and more, for the right price too!!

Have fun!:nilly::D

You can go to the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, awesome place.. Or if you want to make the drive down south towards the Mexican border to San Diego then go to Sea World or the Zoo

just a few offramps down the 10 freeway from where Pet World is, there is a nice little water park called Pharoah's Kingdom. i saw advertisements for it this year so i think it's still open.

Ok so it was last minute but we decided to make the drive down to California to universal studios. Anyways, we made the stop in San Bernadino to check out Pet World. It was an ok shop. They had some goodsize tanks that were being used for saltwater. In their showcase room the only monster tank they had was a single 300 gallon tank. The rest of the tanks were small but still good looking tanks. They had a bichir that had to been 24"...first time seeing one that big so that was pretty cool.

So we made the drive to universal studios and after 3 frecken hours of driving around and making calls, we couldnt find a hotel. Everything sold out! So we finally found a Fairfield Inn in Santa Clarita. There is a 6 flags here so thats cool.

I looked in the phone book and there are 3 places listed i found so far:

Advance Aquatics Tropical Fish
Aquatic Experience
Seascapes

Anyone have any info on these shops or any other places around here please let me know.

Also i requested an email from the guys at SoCal Tropical Fish Outlet. They have a 225 Lee Mar tank and stand available. Anyone have any info on that store or Lee Mar tanks? Havent had a chance to look it up yet.
