  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have three 18" Myxocyprinus asiaticus' in a 400 gallon acrylic. No scratches from them and I've had em since they were 3" long. They don't really have teeth in their mouths.

@Monsterminis

can you tell what kind of species you've kept? Where they all herbivore suckers or not?

idk all the scientific names ( I'm sure some of the L numbers have changed)

But mostly your Common plecos, Panques of variouse species, Adonis, rubberlips, Bristlenose, bushynose, candy canes... many of the smaller species nothing to big or too exotic/rare. The biggest offenders where the Commons but many of those where trade ins ( and likely poorly cared for at best) IMO its like a dog that constantly chews a bone out of boredom and has become psychologically dependent on it vs one who chews for the enjoyment/ taste/ ect. The carnivorous species seemed to be the least likely to do this ime, but I never would rule it out. imo its a chance.. a slight one from what the I gather reading some of the pleco threads. but if you catch it w/ minor damage you can remove the fish to a glass tank ect.

There are some members here much more knowledgeable about plecos then I am though, who if they disagreed w/ me I would take their advise over mine. I'm just going from my personal experiances/observations from working in a few lfs. And my limited keeping of a few species. I don't own an acrylic tank but 75% or more of the tanks at work where.
