I had started specializing a bit in rheophillic cichlid species before moving,
here are a few I've kept
Rheophillus lentiginossus
Tomocichla tuba
Tomocichla asfraci
Chuco microphthalmus
Chuco intermedium
Chortiheros wesseli
Talamancaheros sieboldi
Even species like maskaheros seem to do better and are less aggressive if more flow than normal, is used

There are many many others from other rapids areas like Rhetroculus and "some" Geophagus from S America., and Africans like Telegramma and non-cichlids like African Tiger fish from rapids in the Congo, , or Darters from north America.
For the fish I kept above, I would send flow of over 1000 gph from the sump across the length of a 6 ft tank and sometimes add powerhead to that flow.
